Isolation DC-DC Converter
     All DC-DC converter products are manufactured using the highest quality surface mount components. These include high-grade ceramic passive components, featuring high stability and excellent reliability, and high voltage active components, exceeding the normal operating maximum by several times the rated specification. All our DC-DC converters are designed for optimum thermal stability and high power efficiency, this includes the use of high thermally conductive encapsulated materials, ceramic substrates with plated copper tracking, metal lead frame technologies and our own newly developed techniques, which enable us to assemble the bare parts where the ultimate packing is required.


Isolation Transmitter/Amplifier
      The ISO series products are generally transformer, electromagnetic, opto or capacitive coupled. All the ISO series isolation amplifiers are manufactured and designed by a team of veteran professors, among them some have more than 50 years experience in the related fields. By using the strict testing and processing methods over all of the input raw materials, we guarantee our customers each of the product from Sunyuan are with high reliability and performances in accordance with the published technical specifications. The designs of the isolation amplifiers are about to meet the requirements of customers where need signal isolation, amplifying, conversion, conditioning, transmitting and so on. High linearity, accuracy, reliability and low cost are the main features. Not only can we supply international standard SIP12, DIP24 package styles, but also the industrial DIN rail in different dimension and color. High mutual isolation up to 3KVAC among input, output and power supply, international standard signal input or output such as 4-20mA, 0-20mA, 0-5V, 0-10V, 1-5VDC signal are also the distinguished features, in addition, the signal can be easily interchanged without external components linked or mere a gain adjustments.

Isolation voltage and rated working voltage
      Isolation Voltage is the voltage applied across the isolation barrier of the component under test, i.e. from input to output for DC-DC converter, or mutually among signal input, output and auxiliary power supply for Isolation Amplifier, for a fixed time period, which typically tested in 1- 60 second(s). The test is a measure of the electrical strength of the insulating materials used in the component and is performed on all components prior to despatch. Further to DC-DC converter’s Rated Working Voltage, it is the maximum continuous voltage that can be sustained across the isolation barrier. Typically, it is much lower than the isolation voltage. 
1. The isolation voltage is designed into a product by the construction and choice of insulating materials. The actual breakdown of any components is typically in excess of 1000VDC higher than the quoted isolation. The reason for quoting such a conservative isolation is to ensure the isolation testing of an component does not degrade the isolation barrier in any way, repeated isolation testing to full breakdown voltage can weaken the barrier. 
2. The working voltage is virtually difficult to accurately test, as there should be no effect if the component is operating with a specified working voltage, hence the reason for quoting tested isolation voltage only in device specifications.
      Converting from quoted isolation voltage to working voltage is a somewhat controversial matter as it depends greatly on the construction of the product. In approved products all parts have to have a specified internal clearance, i.e. the physical separation, as well as using insulators. In commercial products often the isolation relies on insulation properties of applied coatings, either insulation on wire or conformal coating on a PCB, hence the thickness of these coatings may be critical as this defines the electrical field strength through the insulator.
      At Sunyuan, we use the convention quoted in the IEC950 specification for safety of information technology equipment. This gives the information in a tabular form of test voltages against working voltage, which is an internationally recognized standard for estimating working voltages from quoted isolation voltage and is applicable to all Sunyuan`s products.

VDC, VAC, Vrms
      The test isolation voltage and rated working voltage are often quoted in mixed units such as VDC, VAC, and Vrms. The Vrms, root-mean-squared voltage, is of an AC signal typically 1/1.414 of the AC peak signal, assuming a sinusoidal signal is used for testing. In fact, the VDC and Vrms can be considered equivalent for comparison purpose of breakdown tests.



Safety Approved Products
      The products which have been certified to CE, UL testing standards for information technology equipment have been independently assessed for both isolation strength and physical separation within the components. All Sunyuan products with CE, UL certifications have a physical internal clearance between any conductors cross the isolation barrier, which is in excess of 2.5mm. The clearance distance is independent of insulator materials and coatings, including wire insulation and encapsulation material. In accordance with the international standard IEC950, this provides sufficient separation for safe working voltages of up to 500VAC.
