The DS0401H/L series IC is an enhanced, integrated 10kVDC (8kVRMS) high-isolation DC/DC converter combined with a four-channel 10kV digital isolator in a mixed-signal integrated module. The built-in high-isolation DC-DC converter can deliver up to 1W output power. With a 5V input supply, the isolated output provides 5V; with a 3.3V input supply, the isolated output provides 3.3V.

The DS0401H/L can replace traditional discrete-component-based solutions that combine digital isolators with 10kV high-isolation power supply systems. The entire power system is integrated into a single module. In space-constrained isolation design applications, this series eliminates the need for a separate isolated power supply.

The DS0401H/L series digital isolator provides four independent isolation channels. Input data is encoded using high-frequency modulation and reconstructed at the output side. The isolator features three forward channels and one reverse channel. All devices offer a fail-safe mode option: when the input signal is lost, the “L” suffix version defaults to a low-level output, while the “H” suffix version defaults to a high-level output. In addition to powering the internal isolation circuitry, the integrated DC-DC isolated power supply can also provide an additional isolated 5V or 3.3V output on the secondary side for external peripheral circuits. The product is designed to meet industrial-grade requirements for harsh environments, including humidity, vibration, and a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
